Atomic Heart Will Support DLSS 3 At Launch According To Nvidia

Nvidia at the GeForce Beyond presentation at CES 2023 detailed new games that will receive support for DLSS 3.

When DLSS 3 was announced last September, it amazed everyone with its powerful capabilities to enhance the graphics of a game. It uses AI to generate new frames outside the graphics pipeline, which can give a game up to a 4x frame rate boost.

It can produce new frames by processing current and previous frames using the RTX 40-series’ new Optical Flow Accelerator.

Developers were really impressed with getting this huge framerate increase almost without any additional work on their side. It enabled them to run the game in extreme framerates on normal quality settings and with sufficiently high framerates even with the highest settings.

                                                                                   Major Takeaways.

  • Nvidia just held their big CES 2023 event, and as you would expect, they used the opportunity to announce a new raft of games supporting their DLSS upscaling tech.
  • New games confirmed to have DLSS 3 at launch or to be adding it in post-launch patches include Marvel’s Midnight Suns, The Day Before, Warhaven, Throne and Liberty, Tower of Fantasy, and more.

Nvidia announced at CES 2023, that only 2 games would be getting support for DLSS 3.0 at launch, the fantasy shooter Witchfire, as well as the highly anticipated post-apocalyptic thriller Atomic Heart.

The gameplay video highlighting the improvements using DLSS 3 is uploaded to the Nvidia YouTube channel in 4K resolution and 60 FPS. As said, the game will help to support DLSS 3 technology for a better performance from the day it starts.

The good news is that these are not the only games hoping on the DLSS 3 support. Nvidia announced that Marvel’s Midnight Suns, The Day Before, Warhaven, Throne and Liberty, Tower of Fantasy, and a few more titles will be able to offer a better experience to gamers with the help of their new tech.

The gamers on older RTX hardware can still have the advantage from the tech as it was revealed that all DLSS 3 games are backward compatible with DLSS 2 technology.

The updated AI network improves image quality, reduces ghosting, and improves edge smoothness in high-contrast scenarios.

Nvidia claims that DLSS 3 is already available in 17 games, with another 33 games and apps on the way soon and that GeForce RTX users can now enable AI-powered performance boosts of DLSS in over 250 released games and creative apps with many more on the way.

Atomic Heart will be available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 21, 2023.
