Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix 20 Brings Bug Fixes And “Patch 6” For Mac Players

The dev advises to check whether in-game issues still persist with the mods uninstalled.

Story Highlights

  • Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the most glaring RPGs of 2023, and the winner of the GOTY distinction.
  • The game has received a new patch, titled Hotfix 20, in recent times, making a swath of bug fixes.
  • Mac players will now be able to enjoy all the features that Patch 6 brought previously as well.

Baldur’s Gate 3’s latest update, titled Hotfix 20, brings fantastic news for those who’ve been playing the RPG on Macs. Patch 6, which was fairly full-fledged, is now available on the Mac variant of the game as well with the release of Hotfix 20. For those not in the know, Patch 6 brought improved actions of intimacy to the title, along with new animations, bug fixes, and more.

Was Minthara exercising perhaps a little too much independence? We’ve fixed an issue where everyone’s favourite drow would simply decide to not follow the party in Act II or Act III. You should find her more willing to fall in line now – at least in terms of keeping up. She’s still something of a free spirit.”

“Mac players, you’ll be pleased to hear that this hotfix brings the full release of Patch 6 and subsequent hotfixes to the platform, so kiss without delay,” reads the blog post detailing the hotfix.

Some other noteworthy changes include more stable game performance when loading “complex cinematics” and adjustments pertaining to the UI, particularly the Trade section. As always, Larian Studios — the developer —  asks players to get in touch with the Support handle to report any persisting bugs.

In addition, you should try playing Baldur’s Gate 3 with all mods uninstalled to determine whether any specific mod is causing issues and not the game version itself.

On a side note, Baldur’s Gate 3 has rolled over a whopping 10 million copies to date, the Director of Publishing at Larian confirmed in a post on X lately, all the while averaging over 645,000 players on a daily basis. This staggering success comes from the RPG’s incredibly fun and randomized gameplay, where there’s no script to follow, and there’s just you and your adventures.
