Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden To Feature 5 Unique Endings

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a brand-new RPG that’s effectively making its way into this space later in February. Ahead of the game’s launch, developer Don’t Nod has made a new post on X, confirming that players should expect a total of 5 unique endings in the game, based on the “choices you make on your journey.” That’s certainly riveting, considering the overall premise of the action-adventure.

For those not in the know, Ghosts of New Eden involves a complicated love story—one that is forged in sacrifice. The game sees two characters taking center stage, Red and Antea, with both of them being each other’s partners. When Antea dies, Red is faced with a dilemma—whether to uphold the Banisher oath that he swore or lay waste to all that and rescue the love of his life instead. All this was highlighted recently in a dedicated trailer. 

As the news found itself circulating on Reddit, folks chimed in to express their thoughts on the matter, with one u/ThePirates123 saying, “Call me crazy but seeing “5 distinct endings” for some reason makes me more excited than seeing ‘1600 endings’ because it’s more likely that they’re actually different and not just different word usage in a narrated epilogue.”

Another made a callback to one of Don’t Nod’s other IPs, saying, “I’m hoping they’re very distinct. Vampyr was basically two endings with slight variations, which was a little disappointing.” For reference, the third-person action-adventure comprised 4 different types of conclusions, and the general consensus on them is mixed, with some appreciating the difference in between each.
