Update 1.1.0a is live for Diablo 4, bringing with it seven new Legendary Aspects and six new Unique items. Accompanying the addition of new items, the patch also brings hefty amounts of bug fixes and gameplay adjustments to ensure optimal player experience. According to the patch notes, the update also implements a wide array of balance changes ahead of the release of Season of the Malignant.

The new Aspects in Diablo 4 include two General additions, Audacity and Craven. The former inflicts a Stun debuff on foes that lasts a few seconds if there are at least 5 close enemies. The effect can only occur once every 20 seconds. The latter allows you to gain 20-40% increased Movement Speed when moving away from Slowed or Chilled enemies.

Class-specific Aspects include Ancestral Charge, which allows a Barbarian to call four Ancients, dealing an increased amount of damage. Subterranean for Druids allows Poison Creeper’s active to also cast Landslide in a circle around you. Earth Skills deal 10-20% increased damage to Poisoned enemies. Necromancer, Rogue, and Sorcerer received Gore Quills, Pestilent Points, and Searing Wards respectively.

The Unique items available in Diablo 4 with 1.1.0a include Ahavarion Spear of Lycander, Azurewrath for Barbarian, Fleshrender for Druid, Lidless Wall for Necromancer, Eaglehorn for Rogue, and The Oculus for Sorcerer. Aside from these additions, the patch also addresses various bugs and stability issues with Blizzard’s latest entry in the Diablo series.

Bug Fixes In Diablo 4 v1.1.0a

Aside from the new additions, the update rectifies a wide array of problems that were discovered in cooperative play, challenges, and the overall gameplay of Diablo 4. Multiple issues where specific challenges wouldn’t provide the proper rewards have been resolved along with problems such as players gaining progress for certain challenges through the actions of other nearby players.

In addition, local co-op issues such as camera malfunction due to the distance between players, NPC conversation boxes overlapping due to multiple players talking to the same NPC, and quest progression errors were ironed out. Other co-op bugs such as the Rogue’s Inner Sight only filling up for one of the players in a co-op session were also addressed.

Several bugs involving the dungeons were also patched in update 1.1.0a of Diablo 4. Issues, where the player would not be able to receive enough animus to progress through the Hallowed Ossuary, the Stone carving in the Fallen Temple capstone dungeon would duplicate, and the Sentinel enemies not having weapons in the Bastion of Faith, have been resolved.

While all these adjustments and additions are included in the update, there’s a lot more that this patch offers in terms of gameplay and class adjustments ahead of the upcoming Season of the Malignant.

Diablo 4 is out now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, and last-gen consoles.
