Blizzard Entertainment has been in the news all year long due to its acquisition by Microsoft in January. However, the company hasn’t let the deal or the drama surrounding it affect its production as it has released games like Overwatch 2 and Diablo Immortal this year. Now, one of Blizzard’s most anticipated games, Diablo IV has had its release date leaked and will apparently come out on June 5, 2023.
Blizzard had already said before that the sequel will come out next year. And now, a very reliable leaker has given us the exact date of this exciting release.
Major Takeaways:
- Diablo IV is releasing on June 5, 2023, according to a reliable leaker.
- It will release at 23:00:00 so some might get the game on June 6.
- The sequel also has a massive download size of 80GB on Xbox.
Insider Aggiornamenti Lumia is responsible for breaking this news to the masses through a Tweet. He has been a reliable leaker for Microsoft, Xbox, and Windows news for a long time now. So, his word holds a lot of weight in the industry as he is highly reliable with his leaks.
Diablo IV will come out this June according to Lumia and he has also given us an exact time. A 23:00:00 time stamp is present in the tweet for the release of the Blizzard action RPG. In the replies, the insider explained that depending on time zones, some people will get the game on June 6.

A lot of digital releases for video games happen this way, on the night of a Monday. Hence, an 11 PM release date for Diablo IV does make sense as it is basically a Tuesday. As a result, a lot of people are going to get their hands on the Diablo sequel on June 6.
The insider also gave us the download size Diablo IV will have when it releases. According to Lumia, the game will have a file size of 80GB when it comes out in June. However, this size is only true for Xbox as of now and not any other console.
So, Diablo IV will be 80GB on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. This download size is huge for a Diablo mainline game and is a big leap from the previous game which was only 25 GB. It’s safe to say that Diablo IV is going to be the biggest title in the series looking at its sheer size.
The hype for Diablo IV is already high enough with all the acquisition stuff happening. Having a release date just makes us look forward to the Blizzard Entertainment sequel even more. Hopefully, there will be no more delays to this release date and we will play it in June.
