Can’t wait for this year’s next huge JRPG to drop? Here, have another crisp reveal of the Warrior Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2, evidently a heavy character class that employs brute force to take its foes down. The 50-second footage showcases some front-running attack moves of this class and also confirms timing-based swings for landing more damage and keeping the gameplay fresh.

Talk about charged special attacks, devastating counters, and head-on combat if you plan on picking up the Warrior Vocation for the days to come—no workarounds to that. Commenting under the video on YouTube, fans are enthralled and quick to point out the enhancements that this Vocation has received in the sequel. One fan says, “Warrior having counters is a big upgrade. You didn’t really have a lot of options for moves in [the first Dragon’s Dogma].”

The Warrior boasts a robust physique specializing in direct combat, with the strength to endure enemy counterattacks. Warriors are masters of two-handed weapons such as the greatsword and the hammer. The strike that is unleashed after charging power and identifying an opening, is among the most powerful attacks of all vocations,” Capcom describes the Warrior Vocation.

On a side note, Capcom has revealed multiple other Dragon’s Dogma 2 Vocations so far, including Mage, Archer, Theif, and Fighter, with the latter being a hybrid class boasting the ability to adapt to different playstyles on the fly. Best check those out and stay tuned for more as well as we get nearer to the game’s official release.
