Horizon Forbidden West Patch 1.21 Out Now, Preps Title For Burning Shores

Guerrilla Games has pushed out patch 1.21 for Horizon Forbidden West. The update sets the game up for the upcoming Burning Shores expansion and adds additional accessibility features. It is, however, exclusive to PlayStation 5 users, given the exclusivity of the DLC at hand for the latter. The following are the official patch notes of the update.

Furthermore, the team has addressed issues regarding installation and access to DLC. To check if the expansion is installed correctly, on the PlayStation Home Screen, choose the Horizon Forbidden West tile, click the OPTIONS button, and then choose Manage Game Content. And make sure to restart the game if you’re facing problems accessing the DLC.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is all set to release on April 19, which means this update is the final makeover from Guerrilla before gamers set their hands on one of the most well-anticipated DLCs of the year. Burning Shores will take the players beyond Forbidden West and into the vast explorable world of Los Angeles while they continue with Aloy’s story.

Just so you know, while Horizon Forbidden West can be played both on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Burning Shores is exclusive to PlayStation 5 users. To access this DLC, players must first finish the base game on the PlayStation 5 version of Horizon Forbidden West. Once done, players will get a call through Aloy’s Focus which will allow you to enter the Burning Shores.
