Publisher CI Games has revealed that it strongly expects Lords of the Fallen to generate over $100 million in the coming years. While talking in a press release, studio president Marek Tyminski said that the RPG is one of CI Games’ main IPs, and that is why they have set such ambitious goals for the title. In addition, the president also stated that the interest in the game is growing so he expects it to achieve this target:
Lords of The Fallen is one of our main IPs that we want to develop. Our current ambitious goal is to achieve USD 100 million in reported net revenue from sales of this title in the coming years. Interest in the game is growing, so we strongly believe that we will achieve this goal.”
A successor to the 2014 video game of the same name, Lords of the Fallen received mixed to positive reviews, mainly due to its technical issues. Since its release this October, the RPG has been patched over 24 times due to its technical instability ranging from crashes and stuttering to low frame rates. Critics praised the combat but felt that there weren’t any memorable characters and developer Hexworks could have done more with the concept.
Despite that, Lords of the Fallen has been a success for the Polish publisher so far. Just 10 days after release, the action role-playing game sold over a million copies around the globe. Furthermore, the title was ranked as the sixth most played game on the European version of Steam while it made it to the top 20 in the United States, showcasing its strong impact.

In addition to Lords of the Fallen, CI Games also has some other projects in the pipeline as per the press release. Project Survive, a new IP based on Unreal Engine 5, is currently in development at the publisher’s internal Underdog Studio. On the other hand, Hexworks is going to work on a fantasy action RPG called “Project 3,” which many assume could be a sequel to the 2023 RPG.
Lords of the Fallen has been out since October 13, 2024, on the PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Our review of the title calls it an ambitious Soulslike game that brings much to the table, although marred by its performance issues.
