Ghostface Might Be Knifing His Way To Mortal Kombat 1

Recent Mortal Kombat 1 datamine suggests that a popular Halloween character, with a cloak, a mask and a knife, might be coming as a guest in the future.
Most fans believe the Halloween character to be Ghostface, as he fits the description and has been heavily requested. Some think it could also be Michael Myers, though he wears no cloak.
The leak has hinted at several other iconic characters, such as Noob Saibot, Cyrax, Conan the Barbarian, and much more.
These mostly come from datamined dialogues and go more on the spectrum of speculation, so proceed with some grain of salt.

According to some dialogues uncovered in a recent datamine, a character with a cloak, a mask, and a knife could be making its way to Mortal Kombat 1 as a guest. The description perfectly fits Ghostface—also known as Father Death and The Voice—and fans are very excited to see it happen as he is one of the most requested characters in the Mortal Kombat community.

Fans have dug through thousands of dialogues in the past few days and found some interesting ones that hint towards many upcoming characters. Among them, there is one that leads to one of the most iconic Halloween characters. If the dialogue in both screenshots provided above by Interloko is directed towards the same character, then it will likely be Ghostface.

Ghostface—shrouded in a dark cloak, hiding his face with a mask, and holding a knife—has been one of the most requested characters in the Mortal Kombat franchise. Although the character has yet to make an appearance, players have been able to get a taste of it through mods. Nonetheless, it is possible that these are for two separate characters, which could refer to one directed at Michael Myers.

Aside from that, there have also been some hints towards other potential characters, including Conan the Barbarian, Cyrax, Noob Saibot, and even Cassie. Among these, some seem a bit more obvious than others, like Conan the Barbadian, with the mentions of a fur-line and a broadsword. Noob Saibot also seems plausible with the mention of the mysterious character being Bi-Han, and Homelander dialogues comparing him to Black Noir.

In any case, these leaks stem from a datamine, and until we get an official confirmation on these characters, we can’t be entirely sure. Some of these dialogues point toward multiple possible characters and are completely based on speculations, so take much of the information online with a grain of salt.
