The Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee has posted a new “Classification decision announcement” on the official website. The reveal comprises a list of games that have been allotted their particular ratings, but it appears there’s a special entry in the report that has emerged unprecedentedly.
From what we can gather, a new Silent Hill game called Silent Hill: The Short Message has been revealed in light of the newfound ratings (thanks Gematsu). You may as well head over to the aforementioned website, download the document, and check out the title yourself.

- The name of the game along with the rating was unexpected.
People gathering up to see what the fuss is about are speculating that the “The Short Message” part of the title might refer to the game as being mobile-only. While that would be a debilitating disappointment after all these years, others believe that it’s actually a teaser to something much more expansive.
The scenario might come across as similar to P.T which was developed to be a “Playable Teaser” for the Silent Hill games back in the day although with a non-canonical relation between the two. Not too long ago, another entity related to Silent Hill called Project Sakura got leaked ahead of time.
The leaked footage showcased a woman who had her skin chipping off to display cryptic messages. Project Sakura, according to rumors, was intended to be a demo game for Silent Hill 5 which is yet another game anticipated to be in the works over at Konami.
Joining the dots together, Silent Hill: A Short Message could very well turn out to be Project Sakura, but do take all of this with a grain of salt. Nothing concrete has managed to come forth as of yet, so it’s probably going to be some time until we can have confirmed official news.
