Persona 3 Reload Becomes February’s Top-Selling Entry In Japan

Persona 3 Reload has climbed its way through the Japanese monthly retail charts to become February’s top-selling title. As reported by GamesIndustry, the Famitsu sales figures—from January 29 to February 25— note that it sold over 95,000 copies so far on the PS5; the PS4 port has sold over 52,000 copies at the same time. The game effectively broke the streak of Nintendo Switch games hogging the top spot for eight months. 

Nintendo’s Mario vs. Donkey Kong secured the second spot and shifted over 89,000 copies. The third place was controlled by Cygames’ Granblue Fantasy: Relink, which sold 63,000 copies. In terms of hardware side, Nintendo Switch sold 191,000 units while the PS5 shifted 147,000 consoles.

Persona 3 Reload Has Sold Like Hotcakes All Over The Globe

The new endeavor by Atlus has been well received ever since its announcement. The game’s overarching legacy and popularity have carried it through the trenches of tough competition. The RPG sold a million copies globally since its release during its first week. Additionally, its Steam launch was recognized to be the biggest in the history of the franchise. Many veterans and new players alike have poured into the genre-defining experience.

Persona 3 Reload came out to critical acclaim on February 2, 2024, for several platforms including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC. eXputer’s Hammad Ijaz gave it a near-perfect 4.5/5 score while reviewing the entry.
