Red Dead Redemption 2 has recently become the most downloaded PlayStation 4 game in February. As spotted by Rockstar insider Ben on Twitter, the tidbit was announced in a new PlayStation blog showcasing the most downloaded titles across all regions for both current and last-gen consoles. Rockstar’s latest Magnum Opus has dominated the charts across all major regions, including the US/Canada, and the EU.
It has overshadowed a slew of releases in the process and proved its prominence among recent competition. Titles like Minecraft, COD: MW3, Madden NFL 24, EA Sports FC 24, GTA 5, and many more were outpaced this time around.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Redefined The Standards Of Open World Genre
The story-rich narrative-driven experience caused a massive shift in how we understand open-world games. I found the campaign to be a gripping rollercoaster ride of emotions intertwined with immersive gameplay and a highly realistic open world. And the title still holds strong 4 years after release, recently breaking the all-time active Steam player count. As per the last official report, it has sold over 61 million copies alone.
