Resident Evil Village is the latest iteration in the critically acclaimed Resident Evil franchise, telling the next story in store for Ethan Winters—the face of this generation’s Resident Evil games.
Last month, the developers announced the Winters’ Expansion DLC for the bone-chilling horror on their official YouTube channel, setting players up to step into Ethan’s shoes once again and come toe-to-toe against evil entities one more time.
Now, however, as the release date gets nearer and nearer, more information in the context of the new DLC expansion seems to have been getting out. The Winters’ Expansion file size of 7 GB reportedly leaked not too long ago, and it appears that the extra add-ons trophy list has emerged online just as well.
The Rundown:
- Resident Evil Village’s new DLC expansion is bound to make landfall on October 27, 2022.
- As we get closer to the landing day of the DLC, more and more information is coming out in the open.
- The Winters’ Expansion DLC’s trophy list has emerged online on a dedicated website called PSN Profiles.
- A total of 7 new trophies have emerged with 5 of them being Bronze while the other two being Silver and Gold tier respectively.
Capcom has definitely done a number with the latest instalment in the Resident Evil horror series, dishing out a hefty antagonist that made rounds on the internet at the time of her reveal. For the game’s promotion when it was about to release, certain regions even started putting up life-sized figures of Lady Dimitrescu.
Now, however, since the game is going to be blessed with a mainline DLC expansion — the Winters’ Expansion — fans of the franchise are as excited as ever to continue the journey of Ethan in the context of his daughter Rose as she faces unimaginable horrors in a desolate plate.
However, thanks to PSN Profiles though, we can catch a quick glance at the most important sections of the new story DLC that are bound to unlock trophies for us. Check out the following screenshot for more detail on this.
Apparently, there are 7 trophies in total, with 5 of them being Bronze, 1 Silver, and the last one Gold. The entire DLC can possibly contribute 195 points toward your overall gamer score. Not the most ideal scenarios for trophy hunters, but a fine collection to their catalog nonetheless.
A little over 3 weeks ago, rumors popped up stating that the Resident Evil Village Shadows of Rose DLC will be the hardest in the whole series, and that truly makes seasoned players bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. We’ve got a week or so left until the expansion makes landfall, so it’s certainly not a long wait from here on out.
In other news, Capcom has been paying much attention to one other Resident Evil title too, and this one is a personal favorite at heart—Resident Evil 4. The legendary third-person shooter is imminent to be remade and earlier last month, it was speculated that the Resident Evil 4 Remake might be getting a free demo soon.
Do let us know your take on the popular Resident Evil games. In the meantime, we’ll go get our PlayStation 5 ready for some incoming Shadows of Rose action.
