Story Highlights
- Stellar Blade is a sci-fi action-adventure, and a combat-focused game coming later next month.
- The title is about to receive a playable demo in March, with user interest sprawling for Stellar Blade.
- The demo should offer a handy insight into Stellar Blade’s gameplay, and solidify potential purchases.
Stellar Blade is single-handedly the most thrilling game I’m excited about this year, and I know I can’t be the only one gushing with these sentiments. Good news is, Korean developer Shift Up plans on giving players a taste of what’s to come in the name of a playable demo, releasing on March 29, letting us go through the very first stage of the game up until the first boss fight.
The demo takes place from the very beginning of the game when Eve, a member of the 7th Airborne Squad is sent to Earth on a mission to reclaim the planet from the Naytiba, up to the first boss fight. This first stage will include the tutorial phase to help you familiarize yourself with basic combat, giving you an early grasp of gameplay mechanics that will serve you throughout the game’s story,” says Shift Up director Kim Hyung Tae.
Interestingly enough, Kim Hyung Tae says that there’s a surprise waiting for players at the end of the demo—not sure what’s that about. In addition, expect your save data to carry over to the full game once you purchase and load it up on your PlayStation 5 at the time of Stellar Blade’s global release. That way, you won’t have to go through the tutorial again, which is basically what the demo serves its purpose as.
Stellar Blade Suffered A Demo Slip Earlier
For those not in the know, Stellar Blade got a demo uploaded to its name earlier this month, but that was soon taken down. Some eagled-eyed players were quick to download it, and hence, play it ahead of time. That revealed to us that Eve, the protagonist, has an outfit called Skin Suit that sends shivers down your spine on multiple levels.

Stellar Blade has a set release date of April 26, 2024, for the PlayStation 5 as an exclusive title. The game began life as Project Eve back in 2021 but was later rebranded to the name in question now, getting shown off in-depth at 2023’s PlayStation Showcase.
