Story Highlights
- Ubisoft is known for slapping on multiple sales throughout the month on its official storefront.
- Its latest Strategy Sale promotion takes up to 75% off on strategy-focused games.
- The sale will last until November 9 at 9 a.m. UTC.
If you’re a major strategy game fan and would love to get your hands on some great games belonging to the genre for a bargain, enter Ubisoft’s Strategy Sale on its official storefront. The French industry giant has slapped on a discount that stretches up to 75% on select games, including Anno 1800, its prequel Anno 2205, and a number of other like-minded titles.
We’ve scoured through the listings to find the most bang for your buck deal and it happens to be Anno 2205, available at an 85% discount right now and setting players back for merely $6. Do note that this is the base edition of the game that’s being discussed, and the promotional event is for the PC platform only, much to the melancholy of console players.
To talk about Anno 1800, though, which is constantly revered as one of the best games in the series, Ubisoft has it up for grabs for $14.99 at the moment as opposed to its $59.99 MSRP. This is a real-time strategy (RTS) title and a first for the franchise to release on consoles as well. If you wish to try it before diving into the purchase, Ubisoft has Anno 1800 free for the weekend. Best not to waste the opportunity.
The company has exhibited a change of pace with strategy games going on sale this time around, since last time, the Bargain Bin promotional event hosted the likes of Far Cry 6 and Far Cry 5 with astonishing prices. In any case, stay tuned for next week, because that’s probably when the Ubisoft Store will be updated with yet another sale.
Speaking of Far Cry, though, the devs recently confirmed that the latest game in the franchise, Far Cry 6, won’t be receiving more updates, but online playability will still remain, at least for now. This could hint at the developers working on a new project, possibly Far Cry 7, but since there’s no official confirmation yet, speculate all you want but do it with a grain of salt nearby.
In other Ubisoft news, the company released a financial report last week for the first half of the fiscal year 2023-2034, and it said that Skull and Bones has been delayed yet again (and again) along with a mystery “large game” that was supposed to launch sometime in the last quarter of the current fiscal year. Fans anticipate that this might be Star Wars Outlaws that Ubisoft is referring to.
