Looking at Steam’s weekly global top sellers on Steam Database, we’ve discovered that Valheim has topped the sales chart and is measuring up to a bright future. A little over two weeks from now, developer Iron Gate AB thanked the title’s relatively large userbase and publicly announced that the game has sold 2 million units.
This is quite the milestone, considering that Valheim is still in its Early Access phase. The game is set in Norse mythology—something that the latest God of War shares and includes elements of a massive online role-playing game.
The combat system is comparable to the Soulsborne series in terms of dodge roll and attack, while the competitive free-roam section of the title measures nicely.
It’s no surprise that Valheim has established a fond likeness for itself on Steam, with most reviews falling under the category of “Overwhelmingly positive”, as you can see here. However, for those with consoles, the possibility of a port seems frail for now, as this article concludes.
Following Valheim, the rest of the games to sell sublime numbers are as follows:
- Valve Index VR
- Tale of Immortal
- Persona 5: Strikers
- Persona 5: Strikers (Digital Deluxe)
- Stardew Valley
- Outriders (Preorder)
- Nioh 2
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – Operation Global Fang
