Cliff Bleszinski Teases a New Project on Twitter

The return may not be marked by a video game specifically

Cliff Bleszinski or “CliffyB” is a popular name in the video gaming industry. The veteran developer is best known for his work in the Gears of War series as a lead designer, and for his long period of service at Epic Games. Everything seemed to be going well for him until, in 2012, Bleszinski suddenly left the company and co-founded his own studio called Boss Key Productions.

That, however, didn’t work out as planned, and the studio went defunct after a couple of games entered commercial failure. Ever since this ordeal, CliffyB has departed from the gaming industry and has gone on other ventures.

There hasn’t been much talk about him making a return to the gaming scene, but it seems that Bleszinski himself has taken to Twitter and announced something very special. Take a look at his tweet yourself below.

He says, “And, yes, for the record, I’m working on some new stuff, and you should know every damned day it’s agonizing to not talk about it.” He follows up by saying, “Deal with it. Love y’all.”

This would’ve made it quite possible that Cliff Bleszinski is working on a new IP that may or may not have a connection with Gears of War. However, the next tweet he does that you can also see in the image above tells a different story. It’s only speculation from here on out, but it is possible that Bleszinski is dropping subtle hints, or is covering up what he’s about to reveal. We’ll have to let time unfold what’s coming next.
