The leak contains a bunch of sensitive employee info, a future timeline of games, other secretive details, and more.
What Does It Mean For Insomniac?
The consequence spells a time of doom and gloom for Insomniac Games as everything ranging from footage about the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine game to confidential data like the devs’ passport info and much more appears online. The entire plans of the studio for the current decade have been laid out in some of the surfaced slides. In short, it has turned out to be among the biggest gaming leaks in recent years.
The Rhysida group breached the fortress of Insomniac Games so it could extract a payment of 50 bitcoins —amounting to nearly 2.09 million USD. It demanded payment from the auction to sell it to a private party and prevent the data from leaking to the public. Nearly all of the hacked data was leaked after waiting a week because no party wanted to pay the asking price.
Open your wallets and be ready to buy exclusive data. We sell only to one hand, no reselling, you will be the only owner,” read the announcement.
