Looks Like Bloodborne PC Is Real Now, But Not Quite There Just Yet

Progress has been made.

Story Highlights

  • The YouTuber GeorgeMoralis shows Bloodborne running on the Playstation 4 emulator shadPS4.
  • The game only runs until it reaches the character screen, but work is being done to make it work.
  • It is a major step and may finally allow PC players to experience the Souls-like in all its glory.

Bloodborne PC might not be happening officially, but strides are already being made to get the PS4 version of it to run on PC. A new video by YouTuber GeorgeMoralis has shown the game running on the PS4 emulator dubbed shadPS4. The emulator has continued to grow in the past few weeks, now even managing to reach the character screen of the Souls-like. However, the highly anticipated title is far from playable at the moment.

A lot of work needs to be done before FromSoftware’s chef-d’oeuvre has any chance of running smoothly on the emulator. Getting it to work on a newly developed PS4 emulator is not going to be an easy feat by any means. All we can do is wait and see how things progress with the PS4 emulator.

Fans Are Making Bloodborne PC Possible Even Before The Devs

After much desperation and waiting for years, the Souls-like fans have finally grown tired and taken matters into their own hands. The PlayStation 4 emulator in question is quite new and can already handle some popular titles to some extent, including Resident Evil Origins Collection, Persona 5, and One Piece Odyssey. However, getting it to run Bloodborne above a couple of FPS will be a whole other story.

All in all, it is best to take the development with a pinch of salt. While I’m hopeful, a part of me is also conflicted because of the size of Bloodborne. However, fans of the title will likely get it to work before Sony can officially release one at this point.
