FromSoftware Devs “Want A Bloodborne PC Port,” Hidetaka Miyazaki Confirms

The studio president is also seemingly interested in developing a PC port.

Story Highlights

  • Hidetaka Miyazaki has claimed that FromSoftware devs do want a Bloodborne PC port.
  • The studio boss is also not opposed to it, but Sony still has not given the green light yet.
  • He would love to have an opportunity for more players to experience and enjoy the game.

In an interview with PC Gamer, FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki was asked whether he’d personally like to see Bloodborne ever launch on PC. He clarified that FromSoftware devs would certainly want that. Continuing jokingly, Hidetaka claimed he is also not opposed to it but cannot claim to “want one” because he’d get in trouble.

I know for a fact these guys want a Bloodborne PC port. If I say I want one, I’ll get in trouble as well. But it’s nothing I’m opposed to,” said Hidetaka Miyazaki.

Regardless, he sang a lot of praises for the Souls-like in general, claiming that he’d love to have an opportunity to let more players experience the “relic of the past.” When questioned previously by IGN, Hidetaka claimed that Sony owns the IP rights, and he cannot talk much about it.

I think any game like that, it’d be nice to have an opportunity for more players to be able to experience that and relive this relic of the past. So as far as I’m concerned, that’s definitely not something I’d be opposed to.”

Will Sony Ever Give The Green Light For A Bloodborne PC Port

Unfortunately, no concrete evidence suggests that Sony will give a nod of approval to FromSoftware. It’s truly a shame, especially when an internal PC build of the game was once spotted running on a dev’s PC. There’s also been other proof that some form of a PC version does exist in some devs’ libraries, but that’s where the Bloodborne PC port saga ends.
