Sony Announces PlayStation 5 Slim And PS Plus Giveaway

PlayStation has been feeling generous lately, perhaps it’s the Christmas spirit. A new promotion on the official site talks about giving away a new PlayStation 5 Slim along with 12 months of PS Plus Premium membership, which is the highest purchasable tier available in the service. Normally, this would set you back somewhere around $600, but since a giveaway contest is being held, you can win these goodies for free.

So, what’s the catch? Quite honestly, none. All you have to do is answer five dedicated questions and you’ll be eligible to enter the bout as a valid participant. The questions are laid out on the site that I linked above, so head over there to start making your guesses. I figured that refreshing the page does not randomize the questions, so it’s going to be the same quiz for everyone. 

The Terms and Conditions (ToC) page pertaining to the giveaway affirms that making a purchase does not influence your chances of winning, so there’s that. Moreover, netizens from the United States aren’t the only ones eligible to enter; a swath of other regions such as the UK and UAE are joining in on the fun as well. For those who wish to enter, you’ve got until January 5 to sign in with your PSN account and answer the questions. 

It’s also worth mentioning that the giveaway includes the digital variant of the new PlayStation 5 Slim, not the physical, but given the console’s flexible design featuring the detachable disk drive, I don’t see how this is going to be a problem. Speaking of which, Sony came up with the grand announcement of its mid-gen refresh on October 10, detailing this new piece of tech that’s eventually going to replace the existing PS5 model.
