F.E.A.R. And Its Two Expansion Packs Go On Sale For $1.19

You can buy F.E.A.R. and its two expansion packs for just $1.19 on Fanatical right now. Originally you could purchase the horror game for $9.99 on the platform alongside its two expansions, but the online video game retailer is selling the game for 88% off its original price at the moment. 

F.E.A.R. Extraction Point and F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate are the two expansion packs that part of this offer. TimeGate Studios developed these DLCs and released them in 2006 and 2007 respectively.

Both of these games are stand-alone FPS campaigns by themselves.

Horror is one of the most popular genres in the world due to its variety. Recently, however, the survival-horror subgenre has been dominating the medium even with its lack of creativity. Action-horror games have been few and far between in these past few years.

But, the genre has made a comeback in 2022 with games like Dead Space and The Callisto Protocol. And, the future is looking brighter with dozens of horror games based on the sub-genre coming out.

F.E.A.R. is one of the defining games in the subgenre, with its FPS mechanics receiving worldwide acclaim for its innovative ideas. It has cult status in FPS and horror gaming for its brilliant AI and combat developed by Monolith Productions. Moreover, it has sold over 3 million units worldwide, and that too on just three systems.

Vivendi Universal Games released an Xbox 360 and a PlayStation 3 port in 2006 and 2007, respectively, following its success on PC. Vivendi also launched two expansions of the game developed by TimeGate Studios after getting Monolith’s approval. These DLCs aren’t canon now, but they expand the first game’s story.
