The announcement by the devs is a little vague. It is currently unclear whether the team is counting players who have enjoyed all five episodes or only those who ended up giving one or two episodes a try. All in all, we do know that the title has been showered with praise ever since its debut over the years. It is responsible for revitalizing the narrative game genre and putting new twists on it.
The original game was a resounding triumph that is still held in high regard by the fans. It sold a million copies, along with gaining a million players during its first year, even before all of its episodes were released. The victories did not stop there, as the heartfelt storytelling went on to shift over three million copies after two years in 2017. The series has seen multiple sequels over the years and a successful prequel mixed in between.

Life is Strange was developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Square Enix. It came out eight years ago on 30 January 2015, launching in the form of episodic content over the year. Since its release, Life is Strange has attracted millions of fans in the gaming ecosystem. Tackling serious issues with fantasy elements in the episodic format has made it stand out among the other popular narrative entries that came out over the years.
It is unclear what the future holds for the series. Nevertheless, the devs have teased a new narrative project earlier this year. The co-creator of Life is Strange is leading this project, and many old devs from Life is Strange 1 and 2 are working on this mystery narrative entry. Unfortunately, we have no details regarding the game. It is unclear whether the devs are brewing another Life is Strange sequel or creating a whole new IP altogether.
