Sea Of Stars Has Crossed Over 5 Million Players; New 3-Player Couch Co-Op Mode Teased

Sabotage Studio has confirmed that Sea of Stars has amassed over 5 million players. The tidbit was revealed in a new blog post that celebrates the occasion along with the fans who have helped break through the new milestone. Additionally, the team has taken the moment to announce a whole new 3-player couch co-op mode dubbed “Single Player+” that will launch sometime in the future. More details will arrive later.

Dubbed ‘Single Player+’, this mode allows for three players to journey together in Sea of Stars. Staying true to the game’s core turn-based roots, each player will engage in traversal and combat with a new ‘Co-op timed hits’ mechanic as they embark with friends on Sea of Stars’ grand adventure,” mentions the blog post.

In the official Twitter post commemorating the event, the studio also addressed the physical edition meant for backers who massively contributed to the game’s release. It should start shipping by the end of April.
