A new report suggests that Black Myth: Wukong is not coming to Xbox anytime soon. In an article by Forbes, a Microsoft spokesperson shared a several-month-old statement again when questioned about the delay, providing no new info that could appease the anxious Xbox community. In other words, any hopes of a release date or a window are out of the question at the moment.

We’re excited for the launch of Black Myth Wukong on Xbox Series X|S and are working with Game Science to bring the game to our platforms. We can’t comment on the deals made by our partners with other platform holders, but we remain focused on making Xbox the best platform for gamers, and great games are at the center of that,” reads the statement.

Additionally, the vagueness of the remark has made many fans—including the insider @HazzadorGamin on Twitter—conclude that Black Myth: Wukong is likely nowhere near release on Xbox consoles.

The Silence Of The Devs Is Not Reassuring Either

Game Science also issued a vague remark to Forbes, claiming that a release date will only be announced once Black Myth: Wukong meets the quality standards they seek on Series consoles. While the devs seek to make the delay as minimal as possible for Xbox players, having no release window confirms that the situation is more dire than we’ve thought. In contrast, the Baldur’s Gate 3 devs were way more transparent about the game’s Xbox port.
