Story Highlights
- Bloodborne is one of the most prized projects of FromSoftware and Sony ever to come out.
- The game has been talked about for years in terms of rumors, but nothing concrete has come forward.
- An insider, called DanielRPK, seems to claim that a Bloodborne “game project” is in the works.
Another month, another mandatory rumor of Bloodborne getting a remaster. This time, the report comes from Daniel Richtman, who seemingly let the word out to his Patreons in a paywalled post. The following is what the insider has claimed.
I hear a new Bloodborne game project is in development, not sure if a sequel or a remaster.”
A little bit of background on the insider: DanielRPK is known in the industry for leaking information related to movies. His track record on that front is pretty reliable, but when it comes to gaming, I recommend taking any and all information with a pinch of salt, as you should with any unconfirmed source out there.
As for Bloodborne, this is an ongoing story in the industry and an evergreen rumor that has been making our hearts race for a long, long time, though always in vain. Even FromSoft frontman, Hidetaka Miyazaki, has affirmed that developers at the studio want a PC port for Bloodborne, but Sony isn’t quite keen on making it happen just yet.
Some Had It With The Rumors And Ported Bloodborne To PC Themselves
If your patience has run too thin, I would nudge you in the direction of ShadPS4—a functional PS4 emulator that offers a workaround to playing Bloodborne on PC. That said, you will need to bear with the project a little because the best it can do is hit 20 frames per second on PC at the time of writing. This is still incredible progress, considering the nature of the fan-made effort.
In other news, the same insider also has reason to believe that Sony is working on a Bloodborne movie. Details on that are scant, but here’s what’s more: A Bloodborne remake is essentially planned for the PS6. Again, no corroboration or anything of the sort—just worth putting out there.
