Disney Dreamlight Valley Has Been Officially Announced

Disney Dreamlight Valley is Disney’s long-awaited free-to-play life-simulation adventure title. It includes a vast roster of beloved characters and villains living together in harmony until darkness sweeps the world. That is where the player comes in; it’s up to the player to save the world and find belonging in a vast open world. It’s an exhilarating Disney game that includes you at the center of the world to protect it from an impending danger called “The Forgetting.”

A couple of weeks ago, we reported that Disney Dreamlight Valley had appeared on SteamDB, and it was suspected the title would be officially announced in the coming weeks. The trailer has finally been unveiled after a long delay. The trailer features the beloved Disney and Pixar characters and reveals the open world that awaits the players. In Disney Dreamlight Valley, you are required to build relationships with a cast of Disney and Pixar heroes and villains to locate their lost fragments of memories and unravel the puzzles of the darkened valley.

The player holds the key to the mystery and can save the dream world. Every Disney Dreamlight Valley habitat includes its story arc, quests, and rewards to muster an engaging experience. The outline cites, “Dreamlight Valley was the place where Disney and Pixar characters lived in harmony before the Forgetting, an event that destroyed part of the memories associated with this place, forcing its inhabitants to lock themselves up in the Dream Castle.”

To make the valley your home, it is wholly customizable. You can alter its layout, add creative landscapes, and adorn it with a multitude of decorative items. You can also customize your avatar to look like your favorite Disney or Pixar character. The trailer shows an array of possibilities with your favorite characters.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is arriving in 2023 for next-generation and previous-generation platforms alike, including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, PC, and macOS. Xbox Game Pass members and players who buy the Founder’s Pack will be able to immerse themselves early in an exclusive Early Access program this summer, which will be available across all platforms.
