In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, players will eventually cross paths with Nehal, an old friend of Basim, and eventually have to complete the AC Mirage The Calling quest. Nehal has a deep fascination with uncovering secrets, particularly those linked to an artifact uncovered at the Winter Palace. The quest ties to that and offers a chance to delve deep into the mysteries surrounding the Isu, ancient figures central to the Assassin’s Creed narrative.
What Is The Calling In AC Mirage? The Calling is a quest in AC Mirage where you’re tasked with finding the “Hidden Place.”
But the instructions or directions for The Hidden Place are quite vague, other than the fact that you need to look in the Aqarquf Dunes. You can learn more about the Assassin’s Creed Mirage Aqarquf Dunes by checking out my guide.
Location of The Hidden PlaceThe central task in AC Mirage The Calling requires players to locate an area called the “Hidden Place.” Nehal’s notes mention its location at an oasis, situated to the north of a landmark named Aqarquf Dunes. This oasis, also known as the Northern Oasis, lies slightly to the east of Anbar within the Wilderness region.
To find The Hidden Place:
- Start by finding the Aqarquf Dunes in the northern section of the Wilderness region.
- Proceed northwards from these dunes until you reach an abandoned ruin.
- Locate the Northern Oasis Viewpoint.
- If you’ve unlocked it, you can fast-travel directly.
Near the oasis’s edge, there’s a small tent.
- Seek out a note on a table inside the tent; this note will guide you further.
- If you happen to employ your eagle, Enkidu, to scout the nearby water body, you’ll spot floating debris, hinting at the exact spot you need to plunge into.
The Hidden Place ChamberAfter diving into the water near the floating debris, follow these steps to progress further in AC Mirage “The Calling”:
- Swim towards the base until you discern a gap in the rock face.
- This opening leads to an underwater tunnel marked by a stairway icon.
- Traverse southeast inside the tunnel, eventually surfacing within a cavern.
- Advance through this cave, leaping across rock formations, until you stumble upon an ancient region dotted with bizarre structures, devices, and sealed equipment.
Using Mysterious ShardsWithin this chamber, you’ll encounter three barricaded pieces of gear. If you want to learn more about the gear, I’d recommend checking out my Assassin’s Creed Mirage best weapons guide. To access the gear, you’ll need Mysterious Shards.
- These golden-hued crystals are kept by individuals dressed in black robes called the Tha’abeen.
- You’ll often find these figures heavily guarded.
The Mysterious Shards can be gathered from across the city of Baghdad. For clarity on the number of shards you’ve collected in different regions, consult the Region Panel on the World Map. You can learn more about how to get the Mysterious Shards here.
To obtain the treasured gear:
- Gather 2 shards to unlock the Samsaama Dagger.
- Accumulate 3 shards for the Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar Sword.
- Collect 5 shards to don Milad’s Outfit.
Once you’ve secured all the shards and unlocked the gear, your quest, AC Mirage The Calling, ends, leaving you equipped with a strong set of gear as a token of your efforts.
When I was playing through The Calling Quest, it was quite difficult to figure out where I was supposed to go because the exact location was not mentioned. But, by looking further into the lore and reading the notes as part of the quest, I was able to locate the exact locations with ease.
AC Mirage is replete with mysteries, and The Calling stands out as a significant quest, unveiling some of the game’s most coveted treasures. But if you are looking for more hidden treasures, you should check out how to unlock the Bazaar Chest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
