Words of Power are scribbles of words put together that give abilities to Alan Wake. Each Word of Power glows when it is found and sort of glitches and distorts your screen. These words of power grant you either defensive stats, health upgrades, incoming damage reduction, weapon upgrades, or flash upgrades. Words Of Power Types Comparison

6. Words of Aid:- Improves the effects of healing items or sometimes flares
7. Words of Stuff:- Alan’s inventory space is increased, a charge is added to Alan’s flashlight or reveals all nearby items

Each of the Words of Power types upgrades a certain aspect of ability but only on a specific condition or activity. 

Words Of Fix 

1st Word Of Fix 

1. When you meet and speak with Casey in the main storyline, you will begin to be trapped in a loop in The Dark Place Alleyway.
2. The Alley will be found left to the Caldera St.
3. Once you start the loop, some spray paint will start to appear.
4. In your third turn to the alley, you can spot the Word Of Fix circular mark on top of the door. 

2nd Word Of Fix  

1. On the left side of the Main Plaza, head toward Wheeler Street.
2. Walk down the path of Wheeler Street until you reach Talk Show Studio in Alan Wake 2.
3. You will come across some pay phones and trash cans, and a glowing arrow will point you toward the word on the ground. 

3rd Word Of Fix 

1. Head to the Abandoned Stations.
2. In front of the broken derailed train, there will be an exit room.
3. Get inside and climb the ladder down.
4. Move to the next room by going down the stairs.
5. Fight off Taken Shades, and across the wall of bars, you will see “LOST” and “Scratch” graffiti. 
6. The word will be on the same wall.

4th Word Of Fix

1. Head to the Shrine St. Station after the flood has receded.
2. In the main storyline (after End Of The Line), use Murder Cult to change reality through the Summoning Ritual.
3. Enter the new room, take left, and head upstairs.
4. Across the blocked path with the metal bars, you will see the Words of Power in Alan Wake 2.

5th Word Of Fix

1. Head to the Scene: Lobby of the Poet’s Cinema.
2. Take the stairs up.
3. As soon as you get to the floor on the right corner of the wall, you will find the words.

Words Of Lamp 

1st Word Of Lamp

1. Walk to the Caldera Street.
2. Use your Angel Lamp to conjure a post.
3. Use it again so you can go up the stairs to the rooftop.
4. Aim your flashlight to aim at the arrows at the outer.
5. It will aim at another arrow that points down on the words. 

2nd Word Of Lamp 

1. You will have to navigate through the Collapsed Tunnel and get past it until you reach the end and almost towards the main tunnel.
2. Use the Angel Lamp at the crashed subway railway with two metal bar gate rooms.
3. After the second room is unlocked, go into it, and the words will be on the wall.

3rd Word Of Lamp

1. Walk to the Shrine Street Entrance.
2. Head to the main central track.
3. On your left, there will be a brick tunnel.
4. Use your Angel Lamp and head back to the main track.
5. On the left side, you will start to see graffiti.
6. Follow the arrow, and on the far left corner of the wall will be the words.

4th Word Of Lamp

1. Locate the rooftop with two ladders in the middle of the rooftop area.
2. Head up the stairs.
3. You will see a water tank that is clearly marked with the Words of Power.

5th Word Of Lamp 

1. Reach the left building of Poet’s Cinema just above the Maintainance Room in Alan Wake 2.
2. Following the humming of the sheriff, Tim Breaker.
3. On the right side of the room, you will find the metal stairway.
4. Look up toward the Water Tank with a flashlight, and you will see the words.

Words Of War 

1st Word Of War 

1. Go to the left side of the rooftop on Caldera Street, where you will find the 2nd Word of Lamp.
2. Walk upstairs to get the reality changed into heading to the down alley.
3. Head up to the building with the “Forever” Billboard.
4. Move straight ahead and open the flashlight to follow the arrows
5. Between the second and third exhaust AC units, you will find the words.

2nd Word Of War

1. Head to the central point of the Subway area in Alan Wake 2.
2. When the train gets derailed (main story in Initiation 2), look at the pipelines above.
3. There will be arrows that will guide you to the words.

3rd Word Of War

1. Get to the second-floor area of Oceanview Hotel.
2. Head to room 224.
3. Go to the other room and crouch in the washroom.
4. The words will appear on the right wall of the shower compartment.

4th Word Of War 

1. Reach the second-floor hallway of Oceanview Hotel.
2. Look through the glass above the first closed “EXIT” door, and you will find it.

Words Of Gun 

1st Word Of Gun 

1. Go to the location of the 1st Word of War and then climb down the stairs.
2. Move to the graffiti building. 
3. Turn around once you get in, and you will find it on the wall. 

2nd Word Of Gun

1. Walk to Caldera Station.
2. At the end of the rail, you will see a train.
3. Stand outside and see through the window to get the word.

3rd Word Of Gun 

1. Reach the derailed train in the middle of the Shrine St. Street.
2. Enter the Night Springs Av train.
3. Turn left at the end, and the corner beside the train will have the word. 

4th Word Of Gun 

1. After the 4th Word of Lamp on the Rooftop, head down the metal stairs.
2. Crouch below through the metal stairs, and the main base of the stairs will have the word.

Words Of Action 

1st Word Of Action 

1. Head to the main Draft Street with the exact words “Draft Street: written on the map.
2. Look up, and you will see the word.

2nd Word Of Action 

1. Move to the Abandoned Stations.
2. In front of the derailed train, there will be an emergency exit room.
3. Go inside and climb the ladder down.
4. Some arrows will be pointed towards a wooden plank, so destroy it to get the word.

3rd Word Of Action 

1. Reach to the Shrine St. Station after the flood has receded.
2. After the End Of The Line storyline in Alan Wake 2, use Murder Cult to change reality through the Summoning Ritual.
3. The word will be in the new room appeared straight ahead.

4th Word Of Action 

1. Reach the SCENE: Lobby basement.
2. Walk to the Ladies’ bathroom.
3. Enter the storage, and you can spot it on the roof.
