Baldur’s Gate 3: Find The Missing Shipment Quest [Walkthrough]

Find The Missing Shipment in Baldur’s Gate 3 is an interesting quest where rewards can vary depending on the method that you choose to complete the quest with. Despite the rewards, completing the quest is still worth it, as it’ll give you information about the Zhentarim Hideout.

Finding The Missing Shipment

After you’ve obtained the quest, the map will automatically guide you to the location where you’ll need to go to initiate the quest. The actual waypoint marker is located North of the Blighted Village, as shown in my image above, which you can also use as a reference.

1. You’ll know you have arrived at the right location once you see a cave entrance and a group of Gnolls attacking two travelers.
2. The missing shipment is located inside the cave, and there are several ways to approach the shipment.
3. The best method is to take care of the Gnolls and then negotiate or intimidate travelers into giving you the shipment.

Defeating Gnolls

Taking on the entire pack with your companions is something that is not recommended. With enough Wisdom, you can actually trivialize the whole battle by controlling the Gnolls’ leader. The leader is actually infested with a tadpole, and you can command it.

1. You’ll need to pass a few Wisdom checks, but doing so will let you control the Gnolls’ leader.
2. The leader can be forced into killing the other Gnoll enemies.
3. Make sure to select the dialogue option that allows you to check the mind of the Gnoll leader.
4. By passing another Wisdom check, you can make the leader kill himself at the end of the battle.
5. Utilizing this method will allow you to escape any or all combat encounters.

There is another method of doing the encounter with a bit more stealth. However, that method also ends up in you battling Gnolls, so you should just manipulate the leader.

Getting The Shipment

After defeating the Gnolls, the two travelers will introduce themselves since you’ve saved them. They also mention that they’re delivering the Missing Shipment to Baldur’s Gate, and one guy called Rugan even introduces you to the location of the Zhentarim Hideout.

At this point, there are a plethora of choices that you can make to end the quest. You can let Rugan and his partner deliver and not touch the Missing Shipment yourself. Additionally, you can also deliver the Shipment yourself. The rewards that you get for both of these choices are the same.

• You’ll receive gold and a powerful crossbow to deliver the shipment without tampering.
• You can also convince the travelers and sell the shipment, but you’ll have to divide the rewards with Rugan.
• If you decide to take the Shipment for yourself by intimidating Rugan, you can get the items inside it.
• You’ll need to open up the Shipment using a lockpick and will need to pass the Dexterity check.
• Inside the Shipment, you’ll find an Iron Flask and more gold.

Opening up the Iron Flask will release a Spectator, an extremely tough boss to beat. Only open the flask if you think that your party is strong enough. You can still go to the Zhentarim’s Hideout after looting the Missing Shipment, but don’t show them the Iron Flask because it will make them attack you.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a definite contender for GOTY 2023, offering one of the best RPG experiences. Create the best builds out of sheer experimentation and use your various skills to dominate enemies on the battlefield. You can even romance different characters, including Halsin, who turns into a bear.
