Dwarven Steel is a resource capable of increasing the endurance, power, and strength of Kratos by improving his equipment. Therefore, it is important to find as many resources of Dwarven Steel as you can in the game. Below we have listed all the ways you can get the resource in the game.

How To Get Dwarven Steel

Generic resources can be found quite easily and can be obtained in different ways. Dwarven Steel is definitely not hard to find, and just like most of the resources in the game, it can be dropped by destroying coffins and chests that are found lying almost everywhere in the nine realms.

But that is not all, unique chests like the red chest also contain them, and sometimes enemies will drop too. You can also get them from the shop. Below you will see all the methods of obtaining Dwarven Steel in the game.

In The Yggdrasil Rifts

God of War Ragnarok has a lot of Yggdrasil Rifts located almost everywhere. These rifts sometimes have Dwarven Steel for you to loot along with several other items, and if you are lucky, you will even get some rare and legendary items. These rifts can be found in Alfheim, Midgard, Svartalfheim, and Vanaheim.

These Yggdrasil Rifts will hover in the air and give a light blue glow. When the player comes near them and interacts with them, they will send some enemies for you to defeat. These enemies are quite powerful as they are high-level ads. You will need to defeat them in order to get your reward.

One of the rifts can be found in the Forbidden Sands after you have completed the Reckoning. You need to head to the north of the area and find a rock where you will be able to enter through an easily destroyable wall. After that, you need to defeat any enemies that you come across, and you will be able to find the Yggdrasil Rift in no time.

Lake Of Nine

There are three Yggdrasil Rifts in Midgard where there are chances of getting the Dwarven Steel. The first location is in the Shores Of Nine where you will be able to find a Yggdrasil Rift during the Word Of Fate quest. This Yggdrasil Rift can be found north of the temple of Tyr.

Another Yggdrasil Rift will be located in Shores Of Nine as well, which you can access by taking an elevator. Fortunately for players, there will be no enemies in this rift. The last Yggdrasil Rift is in the Lake Of Nine, and the rift is located near a frozen lightning bolt on the top of Tyr’s Temple. You will find many other Yggdrasil Rifts in other areas of God of War Ragnarok, where you will be able to collect the resource.

Found In Red Chests

Another way of getting the Dwarven Steel is to find and open as many red chests as you can. These chests will require you to interact with some items in order to open them.

You will be required to interact with a series of braziers, totems, and bells that are located nearby the chests in order to unlock them. These red chests contain a lot of different items, including shattered ruins and even Dwarven Steel.

So if you see any stone chests giving out a red glow, make sure to check them out. You will find many of these throughout your adventures, and sometimes they can be found surrounded by the blue brambles as well.

Furthermore, these chests are also hidden away in certain regions of the game where there are beaten paths. The more you progress in God of War Ragnarok, the more you will find these chests. When you reach the mid to late game, this is where you will find most of these, and sometimes you will even get four more in the same place.

From Dwarven Shop

Dwarven Steel can also be purchased. However, in order to purchase it, you need to complete the story quest. After that, you will be able to obtain 5 bundles of Dwarven Steel in exchange for four 2500 Hacksilver.

These bundles can be obtained from the Dwarven shop in God of War Ragnarok. You need to complete the Creatures Of Prophecy, which is the 13th Path Story Quest, to be able to buy it.

What Is Dwarven Steel

Like Forged Iron, Rawhide, and Bonded leather, Dwarven Steel is an important item to obtain in order to upgrade materials. In God of War Ragnarok, you can use resources to improve further your equipment and weapons and even your armor sets. Some of these resources are accumulated till mid-game and then utilized to modify the gear of Kratos.

While it might seem like a lengthy process, it really pays in mid to late game as you will have collected enough resources by there to upgrade your equipment to the highest level. Therefore, the players will be able to fight the majority of main boss battles with ease as they will have better equipment, including weapons and armor sets, by then.

Dwarven Steel is one of the resources in the game that can be obtained early on. However, you have to accumulate a lot of Dwarven Steel until you are actually able to upgrade your equipment, especially the armor sets of Kratos. Therefore, it is one of the resources that will benefit you in the end game. Finding Dwarven still is not that hard, as it is a pretty generic loot.

But make sure you have enough supply of Dwarven Steel so that you can use it to upgrade your armor to the material later on in the game. Even if you would not be able to use it at the beginning of the game, whenever you find a resource of Dwarven steel, makes sure to get it.
