Learn everything about reviving or making the the NPCs friendly again.

Getting into a fight with an NPC in Elden Ring is pretty common. I would advise you not to kill one, but you might already have killed an NPC. So, now you might be wondering how to revive NPCs in the Elden Ring. Well, it is possible, but it will take some time.

Key Highlights
  • In Elden Ring, accidentally killing NPCs can halt quest progression.

  • Use the “seek forgiveness” option by equipping celestial dew.
  • Travel to the church of vows and use celestial dew at Lady Rennala’s statue.

  • Purchase celestial dew for 7500 runes from the nomadic merchant at Ainsel River.

Reviving NPCs In Elden Ring

Whether you’ve intentionally sought to assassinate an NPC or accidentally pressed the attack button mid-conversation, you might have a chance to patch things again with the NPC. Elden Ring presents you with the option to seek forgiveness from NPCs, resulting in them becoming friendly or neutral with you once again. You can also bring them back from the dead this way.

But beware, not every NPC will forgive your actions or be resurrected, and it varies from character to character.

Seeking Absolution To Revive NPCs

Now, go to the Church of Vows to get Absolution. But you also need some other things on hand as well, such as the Celestial Dew. The Celestial Dew is supposed to be used at the Statue of Lady Rennala.

Reaching Church of Vows

The Church of Vows
Location of the Church of Vows

To reach the Church of Vows in Elden Ring, use the teleporter at Raya Lucaria Academy or head northwest from the Artists Shack in North Lirunia. This guide focuses on the teleporter for convenience.

After defeating the Red Wolf of Radagon in the Raya Lucaria Legacy Dungeon, gain access to the Debate Hall in the Site of Grace. Outside, spot a large spiral staircase. Jump onto the connecting pillars, avoiding rolling boulders, and ascend.

Upon reaching the top, find two exits; take the right one leading east. On a balcony, locate the teleporter and interact with it to swiftly reach the Church of Vows. Now, talk to Miriel, the giant tortoise pasture, for location insights. When ready, request absolution if you meet the requirements.

Essential Items For Absolution

Start off by getting the Celestial Dew, and the next requirement, of course, is to anger or kill an NPC to request Absolution. Otherwise, you’ll get a message stating that you don’t require Absolution if you try to attain Absolution.

There is another option that makes NPCs that were angry at you friendly. Do keep in mind that the NPCs that die in the storyline won’t come back.

Acquiring Celestial Dew To Revive NPCs

To obtain Celestial Dew in Elden Ring, you have several options. Firstly, purchase it from the Nomadic Merchant at Ainsel River for 7,500 Runes. For a more budget-friendly option, visit Caria Manor and negotiate with Pidia, the Caria Servant, who offers it for 5,000 runes.

If you’re low on Runes, explore the Lands Between. Find a ledge with a hanging corpse to loot Celestial Dew at the Uhl Palace Ruins. In Nokron within the Eternal City, descend to the ruins’ depths to discover a corpse in the corner, yielding Celestial Dew. To amass more Celestial Dew, journey to Night’s Sacred Ground. Along a lengthy road, locate a corpse on the side containing a vial of Celestial Dew.

In the Eternal City at Nokstella, explore to find a corpse under some ruins and collect the final vial of Celestial Dew. I found it without much trouble, so just look out.

My Experience With Reviving In Elden Ring

When I started Elden Ring, I killed Varre. Well, he called me maiden less, so he had it coming.

Later, I needed the white mask, so I got absolution to bring him back. And that’s pretty much it for my guide on How to find Celestial Dew and Revive NPCs in Elden Ring.
