Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Redead Guide

You might remember Redeads are from Zelda Ocarina of Time. Those creepy brown monsters who wear wooden masks are back in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, and they are scarier than before. They were also found in Majora’s Mask, The Wind Maker, and Tri Force Heroes. The trailer of Tears of the Kingdom suggests that the most creepy enemies of Ocarina of Time, Redeads, are back. What Are Redeads In Tears of the Kingdom?

Redeads are the lurkers in the dark who are recurring enemies in The Legend of Zelda Series.

Their appearance change from game to game, so that you might see them in a different form, but they would still be creepy. They can paralyze you with a gaze, and when you are paralyzed, they will attack you. Usually, Redeads appear in small groups, or sometimes you might see them appear alone in places such as tombs and dungeons.

Redeads won’t usually approach you. They do but not much. They are mostly found standing hunched, or you might see them sitting crouched down in the detail position. When you approach them, they will slowly approach you, and as soon as you are in their range, they will paralyze you with their gaze. After that, they will jump onto Link’s back and drain his health. To Escape them, you will have to press a series of buttons. 

They are also seen in different forms, as in Tri Force Heroes, they have clay-like bodies which are somewhat melted, and they emit a petrifying cry when approached. Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Redead have been seen, and they are perhaps the most terrifying enemy. They are read in color and look extremely horrifying.  

As you can see in the image, the enemy on the right looks like a Redead. So, in Legend of Zelda, Tears of the Kingdom Redead is back, and you are in for a new nightmare. It seems like Redead’s rib cage opens up when it cries out. This could imply that when Link approach Redead, it will open its rib cage and wrap around him. So it will be difficult to shake it off, and it might cause some type of effect on Link.

Are Redeads Deadly?

Redead Tears of the Kingdom can be deadly, but only if you have skill issues. They are known to be quite slow in speed and from recovering from an attack. This makes them a pretty easy target. Moreover, it can be easier for you to slay them if you can somehow get behind them, which won’t be a challenge.

It has been seen previously that when a Redead is slain, all the other Redeads will ignore Link and crouch beside the one who died. This makes it fairly easy for you to beat them, but this might not be the case in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Legend of Zelda tears of the kingdom Redead might be difficult to slay and more deadly, so it is likely that you would require more skill to slay them.
