Alan Wake 2 has become the highest-rated Xbox game in 2023 on Metacritic with a Metascore of 95 after four critic reviews. In contrast, the PlayStation 5 version of the game is rated 89 based on 48 critic reviews, while the PC port sits at 91 Metascore after 32 critic reviews.

Out of 4 reviewers, one had given the game a solid 100. 2 reviewers gave a score of 95 to Remedy’s latest survival horror game, while one reviewer had rated the game 90. Generally, Xbox ports of many video games tend to receive fewer critic reviews despite the platform’s popularity, and the same goes for Alan Wake 2, which is now the highest-rated Xbox game of this year on Metacritic.

Furthermore, Alan Wake 2 for Xbox received a user score of 8.8 after 44 user reviews. Meanwhile, the PC and PlayStation 5 versions of the game boast a user score of 7.9 and 8.8, respectively. Previously, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was 2023’s highest-rated game on Metacritic for Xbox Series consoles, with a Metascore of 94 after a total of 7 critic reviews.
