Story Highlights
- Nier: Automata is an exceptionally popular action-adventure RPG by PlatinumGames.
- The title has received a generous discount on multiple platforms across the board.
- On PC, however, it’s the cheapest, coming for merely $5.32 at the moment, which is terrific pricing.
While PlayStation stans — myself included — are currently looking forward to Stellar Blade, there’s one game that I can’t help but keep going back to from time to time, and that’s PlatinumGames’ masterpiece Nier: Automata. Employing what has gone on to become one of the greatest video game protagonists, 2B is joined by 9S, along with a rogue YoRHa Android, A2.
Currently, this fantastic ARPG has been treated to a discount on all major platforms i.e. Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam. You’ll find the game the cheapest on the latter though, where it’s priced at $5.32, but on other platforms, it’s a tad higher, about $16. Nevertheless, this is still a lot less than the title’s actual worth, considering its fantastic narrative action, art direction, and overall gameplay.
The Game Of The YoRHa Edition Comes With Added Bonus
And it’s not just the base game that you’ll be getting as part of the promoted pricing. Nier: Automata’s Game of the YoRHa Edition comes packed with a ton of add-ons, and I find them quite interesting in terms of enhancing the base experience of the action-adventure. Here’s a brief look at what you can expect in this regard:
- 3C3C1D119440927 DLC*
- Play System Pod Skin
- Cardboard Pod Skin
- Retro Grey Pod Skin
- Retro Red Pod Skin
- Grimoire Weiss Pod
- “amazarashi” Head Pod Skin
- Machine Mask Accessory
In other news, Yoko Taro — the franchise director — has recently praised Stellar Blade, a PlayStation 5 exclusive that draws inspiration from Nier: Automata. “Stellar Blade is a really amazing game. I’d say that it’s much better than NieR: Automata,” he affirmed in an interview.

Nier: Automata first launched for the PlayStation 4 back in 2017, subsequently getting ported to PC and then Xbox One in the year after. In 2022, the title was made available on the Switch as well. eXputer rated it 4.5/5.0 in its review, with author Huzaifah Durrani remarking, “This is the exact same game, with the same phenomenal narrative and addicting gameplay.”
