Call of Duty Warzone 2.0’s File Size is Reportedly 115 GB

Time to whip out an external hard drive.

As per industry insider Warzone 2 Informer on Twitter, Call of Duty Warzone 2.0‘s file size will be reportedly 115.62GB

Many fans have pointed to the fact that Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 somehow will take up more space than Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. In fact, Warzone 2.0 will be twice the size of Modern Warfare II when downloaded on Steam or PC.

Many fans were already bitterly disappointed about the fact that Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 will be tied to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II client. This may be the reason why it has such a substantial size.

There had been much speculation that the game would not be linked to the main timeline. However, that is not the case.

What is more, is that there has been an inclusion of DMZ by Infinity Ward. While this new element may add a new survival experience flavor to the game. It may have sadly substantially increased the overall size of Call of Duty Warzone 2.0.

Fans are not happy with this new Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 development. Fans seem to be flabbergasted by how will they make space to play the game. One such fan commented, “That’s the entirety of my PS5. Oh goodness.”

Other Call of Duty players seem to agree with the sentiment. A fan on Twitter had this to say about the download size, “As someone with the Series S, and no SSD, I can only have a whopping total of (3) games on my Xbox I may need to cough up some cash for Microsoft’s Seagate 1 or 2TB.”

There seems to be speculation floating about that having such a huge download size is a very well-thought-out tactic by Activision. In fact, many seem to voice their opinions saying, “Is it a secret tactic by Activision? Just monopolizing your console’s hard drive? lol”

Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 will be available for pre-load on Monday, 14th of November. It will be a free-to-play game, available on a slew of different consoles and devices. These include PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, iOS, and Android.
