Story Highlights
- Elden Ring is one of the most popular video games that have come out in recent times, being the 2022 GOTY.
- The President of FromSoftware Hidetaka Miyazaki has expressed his wish to make more Elden Ring-like titles.
- Speaking in an interview, Miyazaki has also commented on one of the main characters of the DLC.
Elden Ring is one of the most prominent titles in the video game industry right now, and if its embers were looking any bleak in recent times, the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is going to spark wildfire all over again. Ahead of the DLC’s release, however, Miyazaki, the FromSoftware frontman, has appeared in an interview with Famitsu, expressing his desire to make more titles like Elden Ring.
When asked whether Miyazaki would be interested in crafting something else on the same scale as FromSoft’s current magnum opus, he replied,
Yes. there is [a desire]. I don’t know if it’s something I can start working on right away, but if it’s allowed, I’d like to give it a try. I’m sure all the staff feel the same way, but I want to make use of the experience I gained from working on ‘Elden Ring.’ Above all, creating a big world and adventure is really fun and exciting.”
Shadow Of The Erdtree Is Going To Be No Cake-Walk
Elsewhere in the interview, it was also said that Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree will feature a Sekiro-like progression system with the involvement of the “Attack Power” mechanic. This ought to encourage taking on more bosses instead of dodging them to proceed further in the story.
On the same side, though, the difficulty level for completing the DLC may see a considerable bump, which would pretty much fall in line with another rumor corroborating the same story.
