EA’s FC 24 Specialized PS5 Bundles Reportedly Incoming

As per the rumor, the bundles will drop on the game's release.

Story Highlights

  • EA’s FC 24, the newest football simulator that’s due to make landfall on September 29, has broken away from its affiliation with FIFA, the global authority on football, beach soccer, and futsal around the globe.
  • This is EA’s very own football game, which is slated to boast the same level of features and then some as they were in the previous FIFA games. Consider FC 24 to be FIFA 24, save for the new naming.
  • As per a new rumor, it’s been said that FC 24 will have a specialized PlayStation 5 bundle coming for it when the title drops on September 29. It’s currently unknown when exactly will the announcement for this PS5 bundle will arrive.

It’s that time of the year again when a new FIFA game makes landfall, and amasses millions of players to boot. Only this time, though, things have taken a drastic turn as far as the branding is concerned, and there’s EA’s FC 24 coming out instead of FIFA 24. Moreover, a new rumor says that there are going to be specialized PS5 bundles paired with the game at the time of the football simulator’s release.

The report on Dealabs by credible industry insider billbil-kun does give away a few important details on what to expect going forward. First off, the bundles would be first released in the European region and that will feature both PlayStation 5 consoles—the physical and digital ones. Moreover, the prices for the bundles have been revealed ahead of time as well.

The physical edition of the bundle will set people back about 619.99 euros, while its digital counterpart will be 100 euros cheaper at 519.99 euros. As for the contents of the bundle, the package would include the relevant edition of the console you bought, followed by an FC 24 game downloadable game voucher, alongside extra items for the football sim’s popular in-game mode called Ultimate Team.

By getting yourself the FC 24-themed bundle, you’d be getting the following bonuses as part of your purchase. Formulating a team of various, preferably top-ranking players, is the way to go in Ultimate Team, which has been one of the FIFA video game franchise’s most competitive game modes throughout the years.

  • One (1) Rare Gold Players Pack: Includes 12 items, only players, all gold, all rare
  • Three (3) iconic players on loan for 5 Ultimate Team matches

While this is a fairly interesting prospect as well that many have started to look forward to, others are still concerned about whether a revised version of the PlayStation 5 is still coming this year. The latter was apparently leaked on video some time back, boasting a slimmer exterior and, of course, the long-rumored detachable disk drive that can be reportedly bought separately when the time comes.

Now, it is possible that the manufacturer is trying to clear out leftover PlayStation 5 stock with FC 24 before it commences the announcement and roll-out of the newer version of the console. It’s worth noting as well, that Sony just outed the exceptionally-designed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 version of the PlayStation 5 in recent times, so it’s certainly pushing to boost sales more than ever before right now.

In other news, though, it was confirmed earlier via an official description that the forthcoming Nintendo Switch version of FC 24 will also utilize the Frostbite Engine, unlike FIFA 23 which missed out on this development and enraged fans to their core. FC 24 is certainly looking to be a major upgrade on all platforms, and not just the Switch for that matter, given the new features it’s been slapped on with.

Feel closer to the game with two cutting-edge technologies delivering unparalleled realism in every match: PlayStyles optimised by Opta, and a revolutionised Frostbite Engine powering EA SPORTS FC 24 on Switch for the first time in EA SPORTS™ history.”
