Story Highlights

  • Lords of the Fallen is a relatively new Soulslike that came out late in 2023, launching to fair reception.
  • The game has received a ton of updates so far, with each aiming to enhance the overall player experience.
  • The latest update, which is v1.1.598, brings a ton of bug fixes and performance improvements.

Lords of the Fallen is a promising new action-adventure RPG that has managed to grip the attention of millions out there, thanks to the Soulslike formula it borrows from FromSoftware’s line-up of painfully difficult video game titles. The title, with a recent update that the devs refer to as v1.1.598, now works across the board better than ever before, with more stability improvements and bug fixes incorporated.

Gameplay aspects such as Environment, Multiplayer, UI, and Performance have been touched upon in the latest patch, along with a particular fix rolled out to fix multiplayer-related crashes. And that’s not all; some other improvements have been made to Lords of the Fallen as well, the summary of which is laid out ahead:

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the Hushed Saint to knock the player out of the boss arena with certain attacks.
  • Fixed a rare blocker that could prevent players from finishing the game due to missing interaction prompts after the boss encounter with the Sundered Monarch.

Lords Of The Fallen Is A Remarkable Soulslike To Play In 2024

Despite a deluge of thrillers coming out this year, including Dragon’s Dogma 2, Rise of the Ronin, Black Myth: Wukong, and more, I believe Lords of the Fallen will continue to stay relevant and make players keep coming back to it, particularly because of the Soulslike’s unique realm-switching mechanic, enjoyable battles, and overall depth of exploration.

Besides, CI Games has more pertinent projects in the works as well, with a new survival-based title coming out next year, so there’s that.

The action-adventure at hand came out on October 13, 2023, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, earning 3.5/5.0 in eXputer’s review, with author Haris Umer remarking, “Lords of the Fallen is one of the better Soulslikes we’ve seen in a long time, but some design choices hold it back from true greatness.” On a side note, here are the best weapons in the game that you should be trying out for favorable results.
