New Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Glitch Turns Kraven Into A Cube

As hilarious as that is, Spider-Man 2 is one of the lesser-bugged AAA releases of 2023.

Story Highlights

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is one of the latest AAA releases to come out this year for the PS5.
  • Although largely bug-free, some fans have pointed out weird glitches and issues with the game.
  • The latest glitch making the news turns Kraven into a cube-like structure, fairly funnily.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a fantastic game all over, but it goes without saying that not even the best of the best is exempt from a few hiccups popping up here and there. Over the course of its release two weeks ago, players have reported a number of different glitches in-game, with some of them being utterly hilarious. For starters, a new bug in the game turns Kraven — an antagonist — into a cube

TrickyMinecrafter on Reddit has made a post in recent times, saying, “Help. My Kraven is literally a cube.” The glitch has shot up on the subreddit, with many others joining in on the fun, and some even corroborating the OP’s case with a version of their own. jardex22 comments, “I got that glitch for Peter yesterday after unlocking one of the special suits. It was pretty fun swinging around as Tofu-Man for a bit.”

  • Before we get to the premise of the story, please note that some of the content ahead will contain potential spoilers for Spider-Man 2’s campaign.

The screenshots in the post are from the 25th mission of the game, titled Anything Can Be Broken, and it’s quite an interesting one at that, filled to the brim with emotions of all sorts. During this one, Peter takes on Kraven in an attempt to save Miles, who has been held captive by him. As the boss fight begins, Peter is seen going through various phases of the fight, until finally, Miles pitches in just as Peter is about to finish Kraven off.

The glitch turning the antagonist into a cube probably happened somewhere between this boss fight, and hilariously so. The second last and the final photos shared by the Redditor are of a different nature though, where Kraven only has his head appearing on the screen, with the rest of it glitched out. Surprisingly, the same instance has happened with multiple other players, as per the comments section of the original post.

For those who missed it, more weird happenings have been spotted around New York City as well, as another glitch made Peter run like Naruto from the anime. However, what takes the crown here perhaps is a bug that allowed Venom to ride a bicycle in-game, wobbling from one side to the other with tongue out. Lastly, a Spider-Man 2 player also discovered a cut area from the game, revealing poor Rhino’s fate.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 made landfall on October 20, 2023, for the PlayStation 5 as a first-party Sony title. In eXputer’s review, Usama Mehmood rated the game 4/5, labeling it yet another incredible PlayStation exclusive.
