Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection continues its rampage to roll over an absurd number of copies. The entry has seemingly sold over 1.32 million copies, as recently announced by Capcom in the Q1 FY23 financial report. The gargantuan sales figure ascertains that the Mega Man collection has proven to be a staggering success across the gaming community.

To put things into perspective, the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection sold sell a million copies in just two weeks after its successful release. In other words, it has been able to sell over an additional 300,000 copies in the time span of three months. It is now the fifth best-selling entry in the overall Mega Man franchise and stands atop some of the other prominent releases by Capcom.

It is worth stating that the new 1.32 million milestone counts both the total sales of Volume 1 and Volume 2 collectively on consoles and PC. The accomplishment is nothing short of exhilarating, and the total speed of all the copies sold has rarely been seen before in the Mega Man franchise. 

The Mega Man franchise as a whole has sold a staggering 40 million copies, as announced by the company. The Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection has played a gigantic role in bumping up the figure from 38 million to 40 million in the span of a few months. The series’ sales number stood at 37 million during the mid-last year, giving it a jump of three million in a single year.

The franchise is currently the fourth best-selling for Capcom, standing ahead of Devil May Cry and Dragon’s Dogma Series.

The collection has performed wonderfully after release, and patch notes have continued adding the fan-requested features as well as fixing a myriad of minor issues. A recent patch finally added the black border option to the game. All ten mainline entries from the Mega Man Battle Network series are added to the recently released collection. It came out on April 14, 2023, for the PlayStation 4, Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
