Mortal Kombat 1’s Listing Leaked On Amazon; Homelander & Omni-Man Confirmed

A recent Mortal Kombat 1’s “Kombat Pack” listing on Amazon has confirmed Homelander, Omni-Man, and Peacemaker’s arrival to the brutal fighting game franchise. The Kombat Pack 1 will include 6 playable characters: Quan Chi, Omni-Man, Ermac, Peacemaker, Takeda, and Homelander. The roster will also include 5 Kameo Characters: Tremor, Johnny Cage, Khameleon, Mavado, Ferra, and Jean Claude Van Damme skin.

Mortal Kombat 1 was announced yesterday. It has been a while since 2019, when Mortal Kombat 11 was released as the latest addition to the long-running fighting game franchise. NetherRealms Studios had been quiet for some time now, and it was expected that a new title would be coming anytime soon. The announcement of Mortal Kombat 1 came as a welcome surprise, and the more we got to know about the game, the more excited we got.

The Amazon listing confirms that Mortal Kombat 1 will feature Omni-Man from the Invincible series, Peacemaker from DC Comics, and Homelander from The Boys. The Mortal Kombat franchise is known for featuring characters from multiple other franchises, ranging from John Rambo to The Joker from the Batman comics. Earlier this month, there were rumors surrounding DC’s Peacemaker and Homelander appearance in the next Mortal Kombat game.

Furthermore, there’s not much known about what the Kameo fighter system would entail, as NetherRealms Studios haven’t revealed much about the new gameplay mechanics. Judging from what we’ve seen yet, Kameo fighters will be separate from the main playable roster and will assist the playable characters during combat. So far, we’ve seen 5 Kameo characters for the upcoming Mortal Kombat game.

Mortal Kombat 1 is set to launch on September 18, 2023. The game will be available to play on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.
