NetEase Games Is Teasing An “Urban Open-World” Game Called Project Mugen

NetEase Games has begun teasing its upcoming project by Naked Rain, a brand-new game studio from Thunder Fire. The studio has described its “Project Mugen” as an “immersive urban open-world experience.” More details on this project will be unveiled at an upcoming event, and seeing as how NetEase Games has confirmed its presence at Gamescom 2023; we can expect a potential reveal during the event.

Since not much has been revealed regarding this project, it isn’t easy to paint a picture. If we take their description at face value, it would be an open world in an urban setting. Sadly, we can’t even be sure how big of a world will be at our disposal. Even then, this might be a big project for NetEase as it will be revealed during Gamescom 2023. NetEase Games has confirmed that it will be appearing at Gamescom and devcom.

For the first time, NetEase Games will have a presence in both the consumer Hall 6(A-50) and the business Hall 2.1(C-030) for Gamescom and will also participate in devcom,” says NetEase Games.
