Street Fighter 6 has been critically anticipated ever since the intriguing announcement. The game brings innovative features, some from the past and others entirely fresh. From The modern American-esque street art to the free-roaming aspect in world-tour mode, there is a bundle of reasons to be excited about the next Street Fighter 6 installment.
Street Fighter 6 has taken some bold steps that have split the community on the spectrum. One of the features is getting rid of cross-ups completely, and another would be adding real-time commentary revealed in a new trailer. The commentary will function as the hype machine while each step is narrated. The commentary can be toggled on and off if you prefer beating your opponents silently.
The open-world aspect is a surprise that no one would have expected. The game is built by integrating three modes that could serve as a whole separate game. Additionally, it’s a good sign when the development team is “highly motivated” regarding the project. The long wait for the next Street Fighter installment certainly appears to be worthwhile.
Capcom has struggled not to leak details recently, and Street Fighter 6 has fallen victim to it. Capcom Germany’s Twitter handle recently revealed new additions to the roster. The tweet was deleted soon after being accidentally posted, but the descriptions are preserved in a ResetEra thread.
One of the characters has a title dubbed “The Ninja,” and her name is “Kimberly.” The English translation of the tweet describes the charming Kimberly character, “Kimberly invited herself to be Guy’s student in the art of bushinryu. She is infatuated with 80’s pop culture, which is why she always carries a portable cassette player with her.”
The second character has the title, “The sadist,” with the name “Juri.” The particulars for the character read, “Juri is still a thrill seeker and takes great pleasure in destroying her enemies. Her main motivation used to be revenge against M. Bison, but since his fall in Street Fighter 5, all she cares about is the next thrill.”
All in all, the tweet was most likely shared before the designated planned date, leaking both characters. The community has shown much love to these revealed characters, and the overall character roster is looking bright. Street Fighter 6 is slated for a 2023 release, and it is metamorphosing to be an exhilarating title.
