Oddworld: Soulstorm Found At A Listing For Switch

The amusing PlayStation exclusive seems to be heading towards Switch users soon.

Oddworld: Soulstorm is a platforming and adventure experience. Join the revolution as you guide their savior, the hero Abe. Go on a seemingly impossible journey to uncover the truth. Unveil the generations of disinformation and misleading news that have brainwashed his people. It’s a venture unlike any other, which users might be able to experience on Switch soon enough.

The title started as a PlayStation exclusive and was also sent to the PS Plus as a gift for all new PS5 users. Announced back in 2020, the game came a long way before releasing consoles. General reception to the title was mediocre, but the ideas and designs of the world were beautiful and jaw-dropping. The same can not be said for its gameplay.

Since its release, Sony decided to port many of its games to PC, and one of them was also Oddworld: Soulstorm. On 21 Jun 2022, the game was ported to PC successfully. Unfortunately, the reviews were mostly mixed; they did not attract much attention.

Recently a new listing was found for the game on a pre-order listing of Dutch retailer Nedgame. The site clearly states that the game will be released on 31-12-2022. There are two separate listings available—one for the regular edition for € 49,99 and one for the collectors’ edition for € 149,99.

The site also clarifies that the platform for the release is the Nintendo Switch. It is unclear if this news is true or not, but seeing as we do not have many PS exclusives on the Nintendo, it could easily be a typo. But if it does release for the Switch, it would only help PlayStation to create more Oddworld experienced.
