With the intense popularity of Palworld in the gaming market, the devs recently revealed a future roadmap entailing new features, end-game events, improvements to the AI, and a huge array of critical bug fixes to the game. The new update will also focus on improvements to the building systems and a future Steam-Xbox crossplay accessibility. The official Discord announcement follows:
Sales have far exceeded the development team’s expectations, and we are currently experiencing many problems due to excessive congestion, among other challenges. We will keep prioritizing this issue first, then move on to implementing new in-game features. Thank you for your understanding.
The devs have experienced huge problems due to the scale of the game and the rate at which exploits and bugs are being found. This most definitely caused the team to focus on the critical bug fixes first, then move on to the new update features and AI improvements.
The Critical Issues being addressed include the numerous bugs that were found by the player base, the world date experiencing rollback, and the loading screens persisting at awkward times. The next issue is the clunky and often “dumb” AI which is now well under development.
The most intriguing and definitely most awaited part of the update is the new PvP mode, end-game content in the form of Raid Bosses, and a Pal Arena which will include pal PvP. Now it is uncertain which type of combat this would be, but hopes for a turn-based one might just come true. Finally, we have the much-awaited crossplay feature and the various improvements to buildings, Islands, Pals, and Bosses.
