Saints Row (2022) Leaked Footage Reveals Campaign Introduction

The two-minute footage features the campaign introduction of the upcoming Saints Row (2022) reboot.

Saints Row (2022) is established in the fictional city of Santo Ileso, based in the American southwest. This upcoming title is a reboot of the original Saints Row series that is well-beloved by fans. The action-adventure video game is based on gang wars; three major gangs dominate Santo Ileso. Saints Row (2022) uses the good-old method of assembling your own gang to gain control over the city.

Saints Row was often labeled as a Grand Theft Auto clone but the series gained exponential popularity becoming a well-renowned franchise despite having rocky releases. The gameplay features an open world where the player can complete missions to traverse well-crafted stories, as well as take part in a bundle of side activities.

Due to the performances of the last few installments, players have conflicting feelings about the reboot. The latest trailer uplifted most obscurities of players, which included a blend of nostalgia mixed with a modern approach to the Saints Row franchise. Not a lot of particulars have been unveiled regarding Saints Row (2022), as the reboot may have wholly altered the story as we know it.

The gameplay trailer did not reveal any particular details that suggest how we would be thrown into the city of Santo Ileso. However, recently leaked footage by the prominent video game leaker in the community, @Mr_Rebs_, reveals substantial details. The leaked short clip reveals the whole 2-minute campaign introduction for Saints Row (2022) players to enjoy.

The leaker posted the leaked campaign introduction footage on his Twitter account and, unfortunately, it does not include any audio. The deafened footage has also re-sparked the mixed feelings of players by raising doubts that once dominated the thoughts of players. The reboot looks quite different than the original series, with most players preferring the original style over the new direction taken.

The footage features the night-life glamour of Santo Ileso and scenes from inside, what appears to be a nightclub. It also includes interactions between the gang members and the character. The two-minute footage is harder to understand without any audio but we can get good glimpses within the upcoming title.

The reboot is slated for release on August 23, 2022. Saints Row (2022) will incorporate features like a detailed character creator, including a gender selector. Moreover, a cooperative multiplayer experience will allow players to have their own “boss” character, that could partake in separate missions or help the local character.

However, it’s too early to be worried, as players may be left surprised after playing the supposed reboot. The different direction may just work out for the franchise. Moreover, the short two-minute footage does not reveal more than the introduction campaign scene, so it’s too early to form an opinion. However, if Saints Row 2022 fails to live up to the expectations of players, then the series may indeed succumb to failure once and for all.
