Story Highlights
- A new Tekken 8 leak reveals Devil Jin’s gameplay in addition to the final character select screen.
- The final select screen has different character placement, raising concerns about a previous leak.
- Some content creators have said that a major Tekken 8 announcement will take place on December 12.
More information about Tekken 8 has been leaked ahead of its release next year as fans have gotten their first look at the iconic Devil Jin’s gameplay. The tweet responsible for this video has since been deleted but the internet works faster than the speed of light. Furthermore, this batch also gives us our first look at the character select screen from the final build of the game along with newcomer Victor’s idle animation.
Footage of the famous Mishima variant of Jin shows the character facing off against Claudio Serafino in the Colosseum stage. We can see the player performing traditional Devil Jin moves such as the sidestep uppercut, devil beam, hell sweeps, and more. Following the previous Closed Beta Tests for Tekken 8, it’s safe to assume that various properties of Devil Jin’s moveset have been changed to better match the all-new Heat system.

Moving on, the character select screen raises some interesting points as well. There was a leak from a few days ago that claimed to show DLC characters including Julia Cheng, Fahkumram, Alex The Dinosaur, Roger The Kangaroo, Armored King, and two newcomers. However, the character placement in the leak and the final build make you wonder about the authenticity of the old leak.
Having said that, you can never discard the possibility of a leak ending up being true. Azucena Victor, a weird-looking Yoshimitsu, and Aliza Boskonovitch were all revealed in a 4chan leak that people dismissed without thinking twice. Fast forward to the present day and all those characters are real.
Lastly, Tekken content creators have been talking about something huge coming our way on December 12, 2023. The claim appears to be backed by a post that appeared on the community-run subreddit but it’s better to be safe than sorry. Therefore, we advise you to take this claim with several servings of salt.
