Shift Up Rewards Stellar Blade Devs With A PS5 Pro And $3,400 USD

The game's yet to come out for PC.

Story Highlights

  • Shift Up is the talented developer behind Stellar Blade, a relatively new PS5 exclusive that launched last year.
  • The developer has announced a wholesome gift for staff members in light of the game selling well.
  • Members of the dev team have received a PlayStation 5 Pro console and $3,400 USD as cash bonus.

Stellar Blade is one of the biggest releases of the year, launching to great critical acclaim back in April, and rightfully so. The game is an exquisite blend of action-adventure coupled with Soulslike gameplay, and tell you what? These two go hand in hand with each other if pulled off well, and apparently, that’s what Shift Up has been able to achieve with the project so far.

And in an attempt to reward the members of the working staff who’ve burned the midnight oil to get to this point, Shift Up has generously bestowed a PlayStation 5 Pro and 5 million South Korean won — which is the USD equivalent of ~$3,400 — upon the developers. Nothing but a fantastic gesture from the managerial side. Credits to South Korean news outlet Naver for putting the story out first.

I mean, who would’ve thought uplifting the team spirit in this manner could lead to better output down the road? Crazy.

Late last year, Shift Up beefed things up by releasing a PlayStation 5 Pro update for the action-adventure RPG, pushing the frame rate to north of 80 FPS. A performance comparison video posted by the devs also highlights enhanced graphics options that are available on the Pro console.
