Stellar Blade Might Have Already Have Sold 1 Million Copies In One Day

That's a lot of Naytibas slain.

Story Highlights

  • Stellar Blade is the latest action-adventure RPG to grace the PlayStation 5 console as an exclusive.
  • According to a report, the title might already have sold 1 million copies ahead of its April 26 release.
  • This rumor surfaced within 24 hours of Stellar Blade’s global launch.

Although unconfirmed and coming from a source that hasn’t exactly earned everyone’s trust around the community, Shift Up’s latest action-adventure RPG has sold over 1 million copies within 24 hours of launching. Those are quite the figures, especially for a game that hasn’t even been out for more than 2 days, so to speak.

But again, the information comes from Zuby_Tech on X who is seemingly predicting this occurrence. Of course, an official acknowledgment by Sony or the developer is yet to come. Take this information with a pinch of salt, therefore, though it still bears mentioning that the headline does not come as a surprise, considering the anticipation surrounding Stellar Blade as of late.

Stellar Blade Is Shift Up’s Most Popular Work To Date

For an RPG that’s drawn inspiration from the likes of Nier: Automata, Sekiro, and even Bayonetta, Stellar Blade sure looks the part, and during my playthrough of the demo, I couldn’t help but notice the similarities it shares with all those titles. That said, I will say that the combat feels a little stiff, but the difficulty even when you set it to Normal is quite on point.

For the uninitiated, Yoko Taro — the creator of the Nier franchise — recently admitted that Stellar Blade is “much better” than his own Nier: Automata, passing clear respect and handing out a little morale boost to the folks over at Shift Up.
